The Shotgun Split Back Formation is a great way to utilize a mobile QB. If you don’t want to get your QB hit, direct snap to a RB. Buck is a great play because it allows your offensive linemen to utilize angles! Here’s a breakdown of the Shotgun Split Backs Formation Buck Play.

C: Step play-side base N.
RG: Kick-out defensive end (contain player).
RT: Gap-Down-Backer.
LG: Pull, wrap for PS LB.
LT: Block down- replace LG.
TE: Gap-Down-Backer.
H: Insert for linebacker. You can also have the H base out the DE.
3: Fake lead blocking (fake sweep).
4: Fake sweep- great fake is needed.
QB: Catch snap, short jab step left, run right, follow the LG!
SE: Stalk block CB.
