QB Lead Play out of 22 Personnel | vs. 5-3 Defense

The QB Lead Play out of 22 Personnel will allow you to utilize a mobile QB. You can also take out your QB and direct snap to a RB. The lead play is basically just a Isolation Play. This is a simple play that can be utilized at all age levels. It’s a physical, downhill concept that puts pressure on the defense and sets the tone for your offense.

C: Step play-side and base the N.
RG: Inside-Over-Free.
RT: Inside-Over-Free.
LG: Inside-Over-Free.
LT: Double team DT with LTE.
RTE: Inside-Over-Free.
LTE: Double team DT with LT.
Q: Catch snap, follow the T’s lead block.
T: Lead block- ISO play-side linebacker. Aiming point is outside foot of LT.
H: Kick-out DE. Inside hip aiming point, cheat split up and in.
WR: Stalk block CB.

When you go with double tight-end formations it forces the defense to defend both sides of the formation. This will create natural running lanes that can be exploited. Running your QB will also make it truly 11 on 11 football! When you have two tight-ends it gives you a lot of different play-action passing options as well!
