Post-Corner & Dagger Concept | 7v7 Flag Football Play
This is a great concept against man to man. The Dagger Concept side (right side) is great against man and zone coverage. This passing concept is great for all age levels and team abilities. If you are in a 6v6 or 5v5 league you can cut this into two plays (the post-corner side & whip / dagger side). This is a play we’ve had a ton of success with in the past.
Post-Corner / Dagger Concept

(1) Runs an 8 yard dig route.
(2) Runs a seam- clearing out the defender to open up the whip or the dig.
(3) Whip route, 5 yards, whip back outside. If it’s zone, sit in the gap.
(6) Shallow drag (if he isn’t eligible, disregard the route)
(4) Post-Corner double move.
(5) Quick slant.
QB Read / Progression
If it’s zone coverage you can have the dig from (1) and the whip route by (3) sit in the gap between the zone defenders.
The QB is looking to throw the whip route if it’s man coverage. You also can have him look to the post-corner double move-if you like the matchup and if the defense is in cover 1 (one middle safety).
Single high (cover 1) the whip and post-corner should be the first read.
Two High (cover 2 zone / cover 2 man under) the dig and seam could be good first reads. Keep in mind that the post-corner can beat the safety on that side.

Coaching Notes
-Make sure your receivers have good spacing. They can’t be too bunched up, it will mess up the play and allow the defense to cover two players with one defender.
-Good route are ran- hard route stems and breaks.
-Give the QB one side / concept to read first. It makes it much simpler for the QB. Otherwise the QB will have way to much to look at and register.
